AN ORDINANCE WAIVING SEC. 22 -4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
TO PERMIT THE SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES IN JAYCEE PARK DURING THE DALLAS COWBOY
KICKOFF EVENT JULY 28,1999; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the sale of beer and wine during this event last year resulted in no
significant problems reported; and
WHEREAS, the sale and consumption of beer and wine is desirable in order to
make the event more successful; and
WHEREAS, the event promotes significant tourism for the local economy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Sec. 22 -4 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived during the
Dallas Cowboy Kickoff event in Jaycee Park July 28, 1999.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
