ORDINANCE REVISING APPENDIX A, COMPREHENSIVE
SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE, TO CLARIFY THE DEFINITION OF
SUBDIVISION AND TO CORRECT THE EXTRATERRITORIAL LIMITS;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls finds there is a need to revise the definition
of subdivision; and
WHEREAS, it is the City of Wichita Falls' desire to consider a single lot platted in
accordance with Appendix A of the Subdivision Code as a subdivision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The definition of subdivision as contained in Section 3. Definitions.
in Appendix A - Subdivision is hereby revised to read:
"Subdivision. A "subdivision" is the division of any tract of land
situated within the corporate limits, or within ,
the extraterritorial jurisdiction, into two (2) or more parts. Subdivision
includes re- subdivision. The term "townhouse subdivision" shall apply to
those developments in which it is proposed to partition land into individual
lots and construct townhouses which may be individually owned and
where lot sizes and specifications are to be different from those otherwise
required by these subdivision regulations. For purpose of this Ordinance,
a single lot plat shall be considered a Subdivision. (Ord. No. 2386, § 1,1-
22-68; Ord. No. 2767, § 1, 2- 20 -73)"
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
