ORDINANCE NO. [ ` g C
ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF $3,000 IN THE
SPECIAL REVENUE FUND FOR GRANT REVENUE RECEIVED FROM
THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT ACCEPTING SAME;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received approval for additional grant
funds from the Texas Department of Health; and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District and the
Texas Department of Health desire to enter into a contract for certain public health
services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 1998 -99 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $3,000
for the HIV /Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) Grant, and the City
Manager is authorized to enter into contract with the Texas Department of Health for
the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
