ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES AT CHAPTER
23, ARTICLE II, SECTION 23 -17, SUBSECTION (1) BUILDING
PERMITS; SUBSECTION (2) ELECTRICAL PERMITS; SUBSECTION (3)
PLUMBING PERMITS; AND SUBSECTION (4) MECHANICAL PERMITS;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Inspection Division has studied existing construction permit fees;
and,
WHEREAS, such study has determined that certain methods of permit fee
calculations and charges are in need of updating.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Chapter 23, Article II, Section 23 -17, Subsection (1); Subsection
(2); Subsection (3); and Subsection (4) are hereby amended to read as follows:
"(1) Building Permits: A minimum fee of $20.00 shall be charged for issuing any
class of permit required by the building code and as required herein. In addition to the
minimum fee there shall be charged the following inspection fees."
"(2) Electrical Permits: A minimum fee of $20.00 shall be charged for issuing
any class of permit required by the electrical code and as required herein. In addition to
the minimum fee there shall be charged the following inspection fees."
"(3) Plumbing Permits: A minimum fee of $20.00 shall be charged for issuing
any class of permit required by the Wichita Falls Plumbing Code [Appendix B]. In
addition to the minimum fee there shall be charged the following inspection fees."
"(4) Mechanical Permits: A minimum fee of $20.00 shall be charged for issuing
any class of permit required by the Wichita Falls Mechanical Code. In addition to the
minimum fee there shall be charged the following inspection fees."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
