Ord 116-99 11/16/1999Fk ORDINANCE NO. 116 -99 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A FRANCHISE FOR SPECIAL SERVICE VEHICLES TO PREZO, INC. D.B.A. PRESIDENTIAL TRANSPORTATION; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City has received an application from Prezo, Inc., d.b.a. Presidential Transportation, to operate a special service vehicles franchise within the city limits of Wichita Falls; and WHEREAS, the application submitted meets the requirements as set forth in Chapter 31 of the Code of Ordinances regulating Vehicles for Hire; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held to receive comments regarding the granting of such franchise. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. A franchise for special service vehicles is hereby authorized to Prezo, Inc., d.b.a. Presidential Transportation, as provided for in Chapter 31 of the Code of Ordinances, as amended. SECTION 2. A total of six (6) special service vehicle permits are authorized for said franchise of which four (4) are for limousines and two (2) for handicap accessible vehicles. SECTION 3. This franchise shall expire on December 15, 2004. SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 16th day of November 1999.
