An Ordinance Discontinuing Participation In The Supplemental Death
Benefits Fund Of The Texas Municipal Retirement System, And
Declaring An Effective Date.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has heretofore adopted an
ordinance under Section 852.004 of Subtitle G of Title 8, Government Code, as amended
(hereinafter referred to as the "TMRS Act"), authorizing participation by the City in the
Supplemental Death Benefits Fund of the Texas Municipal Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt an ordinance discontinuing
participation in said fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS:
1. The City of Wichita Falls discontinues participation in the Supplemental Death
Benefits Fund as authorized by the TMRS Act.
2. A signed copy of this ordinance shall be furnished to the Texas Municipal
Retirement System prior to November 1, 2010.
3. This ordinance shall become effective on January 1, 2011.
