Ordinance Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All Documents
Necessary To Accept $3,381 In Grant Funding From The Department
Of State Health Services And Appropriating Said Amount And $100 In
Program Income To The Special Revenue Fund For HIV Prevention
Services
WHEREAS, sexually transmitted diseases represent a significant health risk to
the citizens of our community and the surrounding area;
WHEREAS, the Health District and the Department of State Health Services
desire to enter into a contract for HIV preventative services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2010-2011 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $3,481 for the HIV
prevention program, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with the
Department of State Health Services for the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Health
District and all other documents necessary to accept said funds.
