RESOLUTION NO. 97-2013
Resolution Awarding Bids To Various Vendors For The City’s Annual
Supply Of Chemicals For Water And Wastewater Treatment.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of the annual supply of chemicals for water and wastewater treatment; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on August 22, 2013 , and
the City Council finds that the bids described below were the lowest responsible bids for
the items shown; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase chemicals for the City’s water
and wastewater treatment operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The following bids are awarded for the purchase of chemicals for water and
wastewater treatment as indicated below, and City Staff is authorized to execute all
documents necessary to purchase said items in accordance with the bid specifications :
Hydrofluorisilic Acid to Harcros Chemicals, Inc. in the amount of $67,670.00.
Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite to FSTI in the amount of $10,340.00.
Liquid Ferric Sulfate to General Chemical in the amount of $236,385.00 .
Potassium Permanganate to Chemrite, Inc. in the amount $12,840.00 .
Sodium Chlorite to Siemens Water Technologies in the amount of
$125,828.40.
Anhydrous Ammonia to DPC Industries in the amount of $66,150.00.
Calcium Oxide to Texas Lime Company in the amount of $499,680.00 .
Copper Sulfate to Brenntag in the amount of $24,080.00.
Liquid Carbon Dioxide to Air Liquide, Inc. in the amount of $138,000.00.
Liquid Chlorine to DPC Industries in the amount of $219,190.00.
Liquid Citric Acid to Maverick Logistics in the amount of $48,000.00.
Liquid Sodium Bisulfite to Maverick Logistics in the amount of $51,150.00.
Liquid Sodium Hydroxide to FSTI in the amount of $40,382.40 .
Citric Acid (Food Grade) to Maverick Logistics in the amount of $7,840.00.
Powdered Activated Carbon to Brenntag, Inc. in the amount of $8,043.00.
