Ordinance Appropriating $226,541 To The Special Revenue Fund For
The Public Health Emergency Response Grant Received From The
Department of State Health Services and Authorizing The City
Manager to Execute All Documents Necessary to Accept Said Funds
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has received
an award from the Department of State Health Services for pandemic influenza
response;
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls — Wichita County Public Health District and the
Department of State Health Services desire to enter into a contract to address gaps in
local capabilities pandemic influenza planning and mass vaccination clinic; and
WHEREAS, approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to the
adoption of the FY 2010-2011 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $226,541 for the
Public Health Emergency Response Grant to support the public health emergency
response as described above, and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract and all other documents necessary to accept said funds.
