ORDINANCE NO. 48-2013
Ordinance Making An Appropriation To The Special Revenue Fund
For Grant Revenue From The Texas Department Of Transportation
(TxDOT) For A Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement
Program (STEP) Grant For Fiscal Year 2014 An d Authorizing The City
Manager To Execute All Documents Necessary To Accept Said
Funds
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is eligible for a TxDOT STEP grant in the
amount of $109,735.91;
WHEREAS, the State will provide $87,478.11, and the City will provide a 20.28%
match of $22,257.80; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the grant is to focus on three of the Traffic Safety
STEP elements of Occupant Protection, Speed, and Intersection Traffic Enforcement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is appropriated $109,735.91 in the Special Revenue Fund for the purpose
of selective traffic enforcement as authorized in the grant from the Texas Department of
Transportation, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary
to accept said funds on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
