I. Call to Order and Introductions
This was the inaugural meeting of the Lake Wichita Study Committee. Members
introduced themselves and indicated why they had volunteered to serve as a member of
this committee.
II. Election of Officers
The committee elected the following officers:
Chair: Stephen Garner
Vice Chair: Andrew Wallendar
Secretary: Penny Miller

III. Determination of Regular Meeting Date, Time, and Location
The committee agreed future meetings would be held on the second Tuesday of each
month, 1:00 PM — 3:00 PM, in the City Council Conference Room.
IV. Review of the Charge to the Committee
The committee reviewed the charge from the City Council.
V. Other Items
The committee members discussed various ideas about possible future plans and how to
gather information.
Councilor Ingle reminded committee members that the committee must operate under
Open Meeting rules and therefore, all discussions and emails between committee
members would be subject to public disclosure.
The committee members agreed the first order of business would be to review the work of
previous studies. Documents will be sent to committee members for review before the next
meeting on July 9.
