Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 11 -2013 Declaring Certain
Structures As Dangerous By Allowing The Property Owner
Additional Time To Rehabilitate 714 Ross
WHEREAS, the property located at 67X175 Ft Blk 1 U Abst. 83 (aka 714 Ross),
owned by Mr. Victor Saenz was included in a list of properties declared hazardous at
the City Council Meeting on March 19, 2013;
WHEREAS, Mr. Saenz has requested additional time to complete the restoration
of the structure; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to grant additional time to Mr. Saenz to
rehabilitate the structure in the form of a restoration permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Additional time in the amount of 100 days to end at the end of the business
day is granted to the property owner of 714 Ross and complete restoration shall be
accomplished by the end of the business day 100 days from the date of passage of this
ordinance. Failure to complete the timeframe requirement will result in the demolition of
the structure, without further notification. Upon rehabilitation of the structure, the
demolition order shall become void.
2. Due to the fact that the subject matter of this ordinance affects the public
health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Wichita Falls, this ordinance is
declared to be an emergency measure, and shall become effective immediately upon its
passage.
