Resolution Authorizing The Purchase Of A Case Loader Backhoe
From Construction Agricultural Supply Company Through The
Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative Purchasing Program
In The Amount Of $73,193.00
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in the Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative
Purchasing program;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this is a purchase of personal property
sold through an interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing administered by a
regional planning commission and is exempt from competitive bidding requirements
pursuant to Texas Local Gov't Code § 252.022, which exempts items purchased
through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the State's competitive bidding
requirements as follows:
This chapter does not apply to expenditure for... (12) personal property sold:.. under an
interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing administered by a regional planning
commission established under Chapter 391; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Construction Agricultural Supply
Company is offering a Case loader backhoe through the H -GAC Cooperative
Purchasing Program, and it is in the City's best interest to purchase equipment in
accordance with this Cooperative Purchasing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase a Case
loader backhoe through the Houston - Galveston Area Council (H -GAC) Cooperative
Purchasing Program from Construction Agricultural Supply Company, in the amount of
$73,193.00.
