Ordinance Appropriating $1,561,861 In Federal Funds And $317,590
In State Funds For The FY 2013 Section 5307 Transit System And
Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All Necessary Funding
Agreements Related Hereto
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls received notification from the Federal
Transit Administration and Texas Department of Transportation for FY 2013 funding in
the amount of $1,879,451;
WHEREAS, the FY 2014 budget for the Wichita Falls Transit System includes
$1,879,451 of federal and state funding for operations of the Wichita Falls Transit
System;
WHEREAS, it is desirable to budget these grant funds for the operation of the
Wichita Falls Transit System; and
WHEREAS, the resulting General Fund, Fare Box Revenue and other support
for the local subsidy required for operating the Wichita Falls Transit System for the
2014 fiscal year is anticipated to be $737,688.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept
$1,561,861 in FY 2013 Federal Transit Administration and $317,590 of Texas
Department of Transportation funding, and said funds are hereby appropriated to the
Transit Fund.
