Ordinance Amending Ordinance 08 -2011 To Replace Election Judges
Who Are Unable To Serve In The May 14, 2011 Election
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 08 -2011 called a General Election and ordered it for
the second Saturday in May 2011;
WHEREAS, among other Election matters, judges were appointed; however,
some are unable to serve in this capacity and will have to be replaced; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this is not a change in voting procedure
and does not require preclearance with the U.S. Department of Justice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Gayle Hayden is duly appointed as the Presiding Judge of the Early Voting
Ballot Board and she shall appoint such other members as provided in the TEx,4s
ELECTION CODE § 87.002(b).
2. The election judges and alternate election judges in City Boxes 2, 7, 8, 9, 13,
14, and 15 shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto for all purposes, are appointed as
replacement judges.
