Res 063-2013 6/18/2013RESOLUTION NO. 63 -2013 Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Execute An Engineering Service Agreement With CDM Smith Inc. To Perform Modeling And Permitting Work To Secure A Texas Pollution Discharge Elimination System ( TPDES) Permit Into Lake Arrowhead For The Permanent Reuse Project In An Amount Not To Exceed $131,590.00 WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has evaluated Permanent Reuse options for its River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant Effluent; WHEREAS, it is found that the most economical and feasible alternative is to discharge the effluent into Lake Arrowhead; WHEREAS, CDM Smith Inc. have been involved in the reuse project since its inception in 1999 and worked to complete the Reuse Feasibility Study in March 2013; and WHEREAS, CDM Smith Inc. is an engineering firm capable of completing all modeling and permit application work to secure a TPDES permit from the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached Professional Services Agreement, with changes as approved by the City Attorney, with CDM Smith Inc. to perform modeling and permitting work to secure a TPDES permit for the permanent reuse project, in an amount not to exceed $131,590.00 PASSED AND APPROVED this the 18th day of June, 2013.
