Resolution authorizing the purchase of twelve (12) 2027 Ford Utility
Police Interceptor AWD K8As through The Interlocal Purchasing
System (TIPS) from Sames Bastrop Ford, Inc., in the amount of
$596,674.80
WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Code §252.022 exempts items
purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the State's
competitive bidding requirements; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Sames Bastrop Ford, Inc., is offering
twelve (12) 2027 Ford Utility Police Interceptor AWD K8As, through the TIPS
Purchasing Cooperative, and it is in the City's best interest to purchase equipment in
accordance with the Cooperative Purchasing Programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents, as approved by the
City Attorney, necessary to purchase twelve (12) 2027 Ford Utility Police Interceptor
AWD K8As, through TIPS from Sames Bastrop Ford, Inc., in the amount of
$596,674.80.
