Ordinance making an appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund in
the amount of $150,000.00 for the Public Health Infrastructure Grant
from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS);
authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute all
documents necessary to accept said funds
WHEREAS, the Department of State Health Services wishes to provide additional
funding to support current positions & operations within the PHIG program; and,
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the FY26 budget; and,
WHEREAS, the time period will span September 15, 2026, through November 30,
2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $150,000.00 for the
Public Health Infrastructure Grant Program, and the City Manager, or his designee, is
authorized to enter into a contract with the Department of State Health Services for the
Wichita Falls — Wichita County Public Health District.
