Res 085-2026 Military Liaison Program 08/18/2026 Resolution No. 85-2026
Resolution approving the programs and expenditures of the Wichita
Falls Type B Sales Tax Corporation (4B) by authorizing funding up to
$82,160.00 to the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce to assist with
the organization's Military Liaison Program
WHEREAS, Texas Local Gov't. Code § 501.073(a) provides "The corporation's
authorizing unit will approve all programs and expenditures of a corporation and annually
review any financial statements of the corporation"; and,
WHEREAS, on August 6, 2026, the Wichita Falls Type B Sales Tax Corporation's
Board of Directors conducted a public hearing to receive public comments on the
proposed project, and subsequently approved the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1 . The Wichita Falls Type B Sales Tax Corporation's approval and funding of the
following programs and expenditures, in a total amount not to exceed
$82,160.00, as described below and in said corporation's agenda, is
approved:
$82,160.00 to the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce to assist with the
organization's Military Liaison Program.
2. The current fiscal year budget of the Type B Sales Tax Corporation is amended
to provide for the aforementioned expenditures and changes thereto.
