Ordinance accepting and appropriating $37,445.00 of grant funds
pursuant to the FY 2026 Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention
Initiative, appropriating said funds to the Special Revenue Fund, and
authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute all documents
necessary to accept said funds
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been notified that it has been awarded a
grant from the Office of the Governor, State Homeland Security Program, Law
Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Activities (SHSP-LETPA), in the amount of
$37,445.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department intends to use these funds to continue its
initiative to maintain its equipment and readiness for its terrorism preparedness response
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept $37,445.00 from the Office of the Governor, SHSP-LETPA FY 26
grant, and to appropriate said funds for equipment and readiness of the terrorism
preparedness response program.
