Ordinance making an appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund in
the amount of $195,281 for the Sexually Transmitted Disease/Human
Immunodeficiency Virus Disease Intervention Specialists Contract
from the Texas Department of State Health Services for Fiscal Years
2026 & 2027; authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute
all documents necessary to accept said funds
WHEREAS, the Health Department and the Texas Department of State Health
Services (DSHS) desire to enter into a contract to provide sexually transmitted
disease/Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS)
services; and,
WHEREAS, the project period for these funds does not align with the fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $195,281 for the DIS Program,
and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with DSHS, in a form as
approved by the City Attorney, for the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Health District.
