Ord 26-2026 The Rescue Effect Campaign Grant from the ASPCA 06/02/2026 Ordinance No. 26-2026
Ordinance making an appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund in
the amount of$10,000 for The Rescue Effect Campaign Grant from the
American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)
for Fiscal Year 2026; authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to
execute all documents necessary to accept said funds.
WHEREAS, the Health Department and the ASPCA desire to enter into a contract
to increase animal adoptions from the Animal Services Center; and,
WHEREAS, the project period for these funds does not align with the fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $10,000 for the Animal
Services Center Adoptions Program, and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract, in a form as approved by the City Attorney, with the American Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Health District.
