EMPLOYEE BENEFITS TRUST MEETING
DECEMBER 18, 2002
Present: Bill Sullivan, Chair
James Berzina, City Manager
Jim Dockery, Director of Finance
Jan Stricklin, Director of Administrative Services
Gail Garmon, Employee Benefits Coordinator
The meeting was called to order by Bill Sullivan at 2:35 PM.
Mr. Berzina made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting with no corrections.
Motion was seconded by Jim Dockery. Motion carried.

Financial Statement:
The financial report was presented by Jim Dockery who reported that the Trust ended the
fiscal year 2001-02 with a deficit of$263,000.00 leaving approximately $300,000.00 in
reserve. The Board discussed several options for increasing revenue in the coming fiscal
year. It was decided to wait until the February, 2003 Board meeting before deciding on
any increases or changes. Jan Stricklin then reported that the new stop loss contract with
J. Allen Hall and Associates was ready and that the premiums would increase from
$27,000 monthly to approximately$29,000. The Board ratified the new stop loss
contract.
