CALL TO ORDER:
Jim Heiman called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.
1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from October 24, 2024 were put before the Board for approval,
Alan Donaldson made the motion to approve the minutes and Larri Jean
Jacoby second the motion.
2. DEPARTMENTAL REPORT:
A. Recreation: Scott McGee
• See Attached Recreation Report
B. Parks: Terry Points
• No Report
C. Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee:
• Veterans Day the unveiling of the statues
D. Circle Trail Update:
• No Report
E. Master Plan:
• A recommendation will be made to the City Council on January 21, 2025 to
approve the Master Plan. Steven Garner made to motion to approve the
recommendation and Dawn Ferrell second the motion.
F. Other Business, Announcements, Comments:
• Park Board to review in March or April the Master Plan progress with the
City Council
• Alan Donaldson suggested the Park Board track quarterly the Master Plan.

Recreation Report December 2024
50 Plus Zone daily average attendance at 251 for the month of December.
Rockin Christmas with Elvis Luncheon 12/12/24
Christmas Cookie Decorating with Mrs. Clause 12/19/24
Christmas Live Band Dance with Santa 12/20/24
Recreation Class enrollment at 51 for December. Classes will break for Christmas
12/16— 1/3 Classes will resume the week of 1/6/2025.
The Annual Christmas in the Park was held last Saturday 12/7 with over 700
people coming out to enjoy the Candy Cane Scramble, games, train rides and of
course Santa and Mrs. Clause.
The Annual Trolley Lights Tours begin Tuesday 12/10 and continue on 12/12,
12/17 and 12/19 with all spots filled

Registration for Basketball, Volleyball and Softball leagues are complete.
The Sports Complex will be hosting an Adult Softball Tournament this weekend
with 18 teams.
Installation of the turf at the South Complex continues with a mid - February
completion date scheduled.
The first week of Tournament reservations brought in 26 tournaments for the
year so far. Another national Soccer tournament is in negotiation with the CVB
and Recreation for August.
Both Falls Town Tennis and Pickleball held Ugly Sweater Social to start off the
Christmas Season.
