The WF Alliance for Arts and Culture Futsal/Basketball court Mural design for Bridwell is set to
be installed around May 1st. The committee chose Jeremy Jarvis to do the design and
instillation. The project narrative and design is attached. The committee agreed that the
turquoise design would be a better choice in the Texas sun then the yellow due to possibility of
fading.
The new Zip Line dedication at Kiwanis is set for 4/24 at 12:15. We hope to see everyone there
to help celebrate this great addition to the park thanks to the Kiwanis club.

BRIDWELL PARK COURT MURAL NARRATIVE
The Bridwell Park futsal and basketball court mural is a bold, vibrant expression of community
pride, energy, and connection. Inspired by direct feedback from neighborhood residents, the
design features an abstract burst of color—radiating in pinks, oranges, yellows (or turquoise), and
navy blue.
The mural captures the idea of movement and energy. Whether seen as a color explosion, a
firework grand finale, or splashes of paint, the design is full of life just like the neighborhood it
represents. It's fresh, clean, and exciting, bringing new visual energy to a space where kids, teens,
and families come together to play, compete, and connect.
The use of white court lines rather than the existing black not only ensures better visibility and
safety, but also creates a crisp contrast that highlights the design without overpowering it. The
layout is uniform and functional while allowing for an expressive, eye-catching visual experience.
This design reflects the values and hopes of the community: a place that feels welcoming,
supported, and inspiring. It's multi-generational and inclusive, speaking to the diversity of
Wichita Falls and the unique character of this neighborhood. Residents asked for a design that is
bright, positive, and full of optimism.
With its vibrant abstract shapes and rich color palette, the mural is not just decorative—it's
symbolic. It embodies the feeling of belonging and the desire for a safe, beautiful, and uplifting
space for everyone who steps onto the court. Whether you're here for futsal, basketball, or to
cheer from the sidelines, this mural invites you in—and reflects the energy and care that make
CP)
Bridwell Park the heart of the neighborhood.
