Ordinance Amending Section 62-5 Of The Code Of Ordinances Of
The City Of Wichita Falls To Designate The Perkins-Prothro House At
3301 Harrison Blvd. As A Wichita Falls Landmark And Providing For
Codification
WHEREAS, the Landmark Commission of the City of Wichita Falls has
recommended that the building located at 3301 Harrison Blvd., Wichita Falls, Texas, be
designated as a local landmark; and
WHEREAS, the Landmark Commission has deemed that this property is
especially worthy of protection, preservation, and recognition based on its architectural,
historical and cultural significance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1 . Section 62-5 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby
amended to add subsection (33) thereto, which will read as follows:
"(33) The Perkins-Prothro House, located at 3301 Harrison Boulevard, Wichita
Falls, Texas, further described as 10.5 acres in Abstract 305, Abstract
346, and Abstract 346-A, Country Club Estates."
2. This ordinance amends the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls
and is intended to be part of said Code. Accordingly, the provisions of said Section
may be renumbered or relettered to accomplish such intention.
