Res 066-2025 Reject Bids for Restroom at Sports Complex 06/17/2025 Resolution No. 66-2025
Resolution authorizing the City Manager to formally reject all bids for
a restroom addition to the north quadrant at the newly renovated
Sports Complex at 1702 Sheppard Access Road.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for a restroom addition
to the north quadrant at the newly renovated Sports Complex; and,
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest bidder is AOC Construction Inc., who made
a unit price bid with an estimated total of $296,824; and,
WHEREAS, the unit price bid with an estimated total of $296,824 exceeds the
Architect's estimate by over $135,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The unit price bid from AOC Construction, Inc. for a restroom addition to the north
quadrant at the newly renovated Sports Complex in an estimated total amount of
$296,824 and all other current bids for this project are rejected. The City Manager is
authorized to deny a contract for the City with said Contractor for the construction of such
project.
