APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes from June 27, 2024 were put before the Board for approval, Lusi Severin made the motion to approve the minutes and Josh Phillips second the motion. 2. Air •mi '"'"' •••;kk."."`m Recreation Report October 2024 50 Plus Zone daily attendance for the past week at 307 per day. Zone Quilters Quilt Show held this month with over 170 quilts sold in order to help finance the over 300 quilts the group furnishes each year to veterans in our surrounding area. The Zone Players presented "The Good Ole Days " a variety show featuring favorite tv shows, commercials and music from the 50's 60's and 70's along with dinner to over 120 people on 10/17. 50 Plus Zone hosted a Medicare 101 workshop on 10/18. Recreation Class enrollment for October is at 90 students including 9 new classes and events with increased revenue of over$3000 for the month of October. Last two concerts for the Fall were held this month with over 500 people attending the AA Bottom concert on 10/1 and more the 250 for Dani Carson on 10/15 Halloween in the Park was last Saturday 10/19 with over 2300 people enjoying a costume contest,games, bounce houses, cake walk, train rides, crafts, pumpkin decorating and balloon animals. Athletics Fall Softball and Volleyball leagues will wrap up the end of the month Adult Basketball leagues are registering now. With the possibility of one tournament left in November the Economic Impact for the Sports Complex currently stands at$2,882,083. Hellas Construction has-started work on the South Complex with an estimated completion date of February 15, 2025. Bids are currently being accepted on Fence replacement, Playground covers and drawings for expanded restroom facilities are in the works for the North Complex Falls Town Courts Tennis at Hamilton Park had a busy month hosting the UIL 5A Regional Tournament,City Slam and the_third of four USTA.tournaments for the year, Reports on the economic impact of these events are being calculated. New Men's and Women's leagues begin this week. Falls Town Courts Pickleball at Weeks Park is hosting a Pickleball and Costume Party on 10/23 New men's and Women's advanced leagues will begin soon.
