Resolution appointing an Interim City Manager for the City of Wichita
Falls and authorizing the Mayor to execute a Professional Services
Agreement with the Appointee
WHEREAS, Section 57 of the City Charter authorizes the City Council to appoint
the City Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
James McKechnie is hereby appointed as the Interim City Manager for the City of
Wichita Falls effective on November 6, 2024, and will, on said date, replace the current
Acting City Manager.
The Mayor is authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement, in a form
approved by the City Attorney, with the appointee.
