Ord 51-2024 WIC Grant Program from Texas Health and Human Services Commission 09/03/2024 Ordinance No. 51-2024
Ordinance making an appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund for
the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Grant Program in the amount
of $62,369 received from the Texas Health and Human Services
Commission (HHSC), and authorizing the City Manager to execute
contract accepting same
WHEREAS, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission has identified
additional funding for our local WIC agency; and,
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2023 —2024 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $62,369 for the
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program.
