Ord 53-2024 Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) Grant from DSHS 09/17/2024 Ordinance No. 53-2024
Ordinance making an appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund for
the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) Grant
Program in the amount of $150,000 received from the Texas
Department of State Health Services (DSHS), and authorizing the City
Manager to execute contract accepting same
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of State Health Services wishes to make
strategic investments in local health departments to provide support to persons with
Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) as well as their caregivers; and,
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2023 —2024 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $150,000 for the
Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) Program and the City Manager is
authorized to execute all related contracts, in forms approved by the City Attorney.
