QUORUM OF COUNCIL MAY OR MAY NOT BE PRESENT - DISCUSSION ONLY
Notice of Special Meeting of Wichita Falls, Texas, City Council To Be Held At The MPEC, 1000 Fifth
Street, Hayley Eye Clinic Seminar Room, Monday, September 9, 2024, Beginning At 6:00 PM.
1. Introductions— Mayor Short and Councilor Taylor
2. Presentation: City of Wichita Falls'Wildfire Mitigation Efforts—Donald Hughes, Fire Chief
3. Good Neighbor Awareness — Councilor Taylor
4. Questions from the Public (5 Minute Time Limit per Person*)
5. 7:30 p.m. - Adjourn
Members of the City Council who appear may discuss any penal ordinance, development regulation or
charter provision of the City of Wichita Falls or item which is funded by the current or next proposed City of
Wichita Falls budget, including, without limitation, any street, water pipe, sewer, drainage structure,
department, employee, contract or real property interest of the City of Wichita Falls, and the subject is
hereby defined as such without further notice. If a quorum of the City Council appears at this event, it
will NOT take any official action.
*Each speaker shall be limited to five minutes (unless otherwise set by the chair). Wichita Falls, Code of
Ordinances § 2-69 (1)(i)(8). All persons shall state their name and address before addressing the council.
No one shall be allowed to speak more than once on any one subject until every person wishing to speak
has spoken. Wichita Falls, Code of Ordinances § 2-69 (2).
