Res 098-2024 Appointment and Authorize PSA for Acting City Manager 08/20/2024 Resolution No. 98-2024
Resolution appointing an Acting City Manager for the City of Wichita
Falls and authorizing the Mayor to execute a Professional Services
Agreement with the Appointee
WHEREAS, Section 57 of the City Charter authorizes the City Council to appoint
the City Manager; and,
WHEREAS, the current City Manager has announced that he will soon be
resigning from that position.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Upon the City's receipt of the resignation of the current City Manager, Paul
Menzies will be automatically appointed as the Acting City Manager for the City of Wichita
Falls.
The Mayor is authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement, in a form
approved by the City Attorney, with the appointee upon appointment.
