1. Call to Order: Austin called the meeting to order at 11:30.
2. Approval of Minutes: May meeting minutes were approved unanimously. Note that the
June meeting was canceled.
3. Project Updates:
3.a. Veteran's Plaza Project:
David C stated that the brick engraving is complete, except for 4 bricks that needed the
templates re-made. These should be completed this month, when the engraver returns
from vacation. The group voted unanimously to install a sign that instructs visitors how to
order a brick to be engraved, and Terry Points will get wording to David for the sign. Up
to $500 for the sign was approved unanimously.
David also stated that the Thomas Fowler MOH monument is complete and looks
beautiful. The extra $500 for a concrete apron around the monument is now paid to
Marrs Patriot Construction.
3.b. Lake Deepening:
Steve contacted Dr. Clyde, USACE, who stated that our dredging project is still in the
Continuing Authorities program for FY-25, and when funds are available the Corps will
begin the process to create the Determination of Federal Interest.

3.c. Parks Master Plan: Blake stated the City got a very good return rate for the surveys,
both on-line and mailed. The consultant will formulate 5 strategies for
recommendations, which will be complete by the end of the year.
4. Discussion of Brick Sales and Fundraising Initiatives:
David stated we are waiting for an invoice from Austin Stone & Monument for$2,645 for
the brick engraving.
David stated the Wells Fargo checking account balance is $82,154 with one pending
obligation of$2,645 for Brick Engraving.
5. Other Business Matters:
Austin suggested that John Pezzano be moved to the Lakeside City ex-officio seat, since
he's now on the City Council of Lakeside City. This was approved unanimously, which
creates a vacancy at Place 4 for a resident of Lakeside City.
Mike mentioned that American Legion Post 169 has assumed Flag raising duties at the
Veterans Memorial Plaza, and they hold the key to the flagpole.
