Ordinance appropriating up to $192,126 to the Special Revenue Fund
for personnel and equipment funding through a local partnership
agreement with the Helen Farabee Center for the Wichita Falls
Multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Response Team for Years 2024
and 2025 and authorizing the City Manager to accept said funds
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls agrees to participate in a grant agreement
with the Helen Farabee Center for the purpose of participating in the Multidisciplinary
Behavioral Health Response Team Program for the years 2024 and 2025; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls will provide a Police Officer as part of the
Multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Response Team for the grant program; and,
WHEREAS, the primary emphasis will be a holistic team response to calls for
service and follow-up on mental health issues
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is appropriated up to $192,126 to the Special Revenue Fund from the local
Grant Agreement with the Helen Farabee Center for the purpose of funding personnel
and equipment for the Wichita Falls Multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Response Team
for Years 2024 and 2025, and the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute
all documents necessary to accept said funds on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
