Ordinance applying for and accepting up to $4,128,000 from the
Federal Highway Administration through the Active Transportation
Infrastructure Investment Program for the section of Circle Trail along
Lake Wichita
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls received notification from the Federal
Highway Administration for an Active Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program
grant for trail projects; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to budget these grant funds for the operation of the City
of Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls anticipates applying for United States Federal
Highway Administration Active Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program funds
for the construction of trail projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to apply for and accept funding through the Active
Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program from the Federal Highway
Administration for the construction of hike/bike trail along the north shoreline of Lake
Wichita.
