ORDINANCE NO. _06-2013_
Ordinance Appropriating $300,000 From The Water And Sewer Fund For A
Professional Services Agreement For Engineering Services For The
Temporary Water Reuse Conveyance Facilities Project With Biggs &
Matthews, Inc. And Authorizing The City Manager To Execute Said
Agreement
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has determined that Biggs and Mathews, Inc. is
qualified to provide Engineering Services for the Temporary Water Reuse Conveyance
Facilities; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the Engineering Services to complete the Preliminary
Engineering Report, Plans, Specifications, and Full Scale Verification Testing Protocol as
required by the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is an estimated total
amount of $300,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. There is hereby appropriated in the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 City of Wichita Falls
Professional Services Agreement
budget the sum of $300,000 for a for engineering
services for the Temporary Water Reuse Conveyance Facilities with Biggs and Mathews,
Inc, and the City Manager is authorized to execute said agreement in the form attached
hereto, with changes as approved by the City Attorney.
2. The immediate need to provide a secure water supply for the City in the midst of an
ongoing drought creates an emergency, and in order to protect the public health, welfare and
to preserve the peace, this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
