CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Purtle at 3:30 p.m. II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes of the meeting of April 15, 1999, were approved as amended. III. LANDMARK DESIGNATION REVIEW — SEVENTH ST. 11 Members 0 0 o 0 0 0 City Staff 0 13 Members 0 RECEIVED IN C,TY CLERK'S OFRCE Date B The Commission reviewed the application and heard additional information from Andy Lee, the property owner. Constructed in 1884, this building is among the oldest structures in Wichita Falls. It was rehabilitated under the Facade Easement program in 1996. Mr. Newsom (second by Black moved to GVDO Landmark Commission 3 -4-99 Page 1 of 2 forward a positive recommeridation for landmark status to the City Council. The motion passed 'unanimously. IV. LANDMARK DISTRICT EXPANSION Follow up discussion began in consideration of past tours, public meetings, and individual input regarding the prospect of expanding the Depot Square Historic District. Additional points were made by several of the visitors present. A consensus was established to give additional time to consider the most important structures in the area, the logic of district boundaries, and the general benefit of district designation. V.
