The signs are normally used in construction zones, school zones, and areas of concern. The signs electronically post the speed of passing vehicles to alert the driver to their speed and the posted limit in the area. The signs have been very beneficial in other cities. The commission members agreed to add the issue to the next agenda to allow for more discussion and appropriate action.
