The meeting of the Wichita Falls Arts Commission was called to order at
11: 55 A.M. by Chairperson, Carolyn Sanders. The reading of the minutes was
heard. Carolyn Sanders then called out the names of those Commission
members leaving due to expired terms and thanked these members for their
time and interest for the past six years. Cathryn Whaling, Chairman of the
Nominating Committee, presented the list of nominees for new officers.
These were:
Chairman - John Vitek
Vice Chairman - Heather Tedford
Secretary - Ann Funston
A motion was made to accept this recommendation and the motion was seconded
and carried unanimously.
The City Council suggested that the Arts Commission move the filing
deadline from September 1st to May 1st annually for all organizations
applying for grants. A motion was made and seconded to adopt this date
change and this carried by unanimous vote.
No other business was at hand, so the meeting concluded at 12 : 30 p.m.
