Employee Benefit Trust Minutes - 06/04/2007 J ' CITY OF WICHITA FALLS EMPLOYEE BENEFITS TRUST BOARD MEETING June 4, 2007 Present: Bill Sullivan, Chair Darron Leiker, City Manager Jim Dockery, Finance Director David Winner, Human Resources Director Gail Garmon, Employee Benefits Coordinator The meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m. Agenda Items: Approval of Minutes David Winney made a motion to accept the minutes of the May 25, 2007 meeting. Darron Leiker seconded the motion. Motion carried. Discussion of Prescription Coverage Vendor Change Jim Dockery inquired as to the possibility of being able to make the change from Pharmacare to Walgreens Health Initiatives (WHI) by the July 1 deadline. Gail Garmon reported that her office had already received the necessary eligibility files from Pharmacare and that the change could be done on time. It was decided that a letter would go out at the earliest possible date to all employees covered by the plan, informing them of the upcoming change. The eligibility files from Pharmacare would be forwarded to PSG Consultants who would then work with Walgreens to facilitate the change. The board felt that with the $186,000 projected savings to the plan in the upcoming year, by making the vendor change, that there was no need to make any changes in the current copays to the employees. Darron Leiker made a motion to move the prescription coverage from Pharmacare to Walgreens Health Initiatives, to be effective July 1, 2007 and to leave copays at the current level. Jim Dockery seconded the motion. Motion carried. It was further decided that because of the Medicare reimbursement subsidy contract with Part D Advisors, all retirees will remain on the Pharmacare coverage until January 1, 2008. All retirees will be notified at a later date of their future change to Walgreens. Other Business Jim Dockery asked that a late June meeting be set to meet with representatives from Gabriel, Roeder, Smith& Co., regarding GASB options. The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 a.m. Respectfully submitted, Gail Garmon Employee Benefits Coordinator
