Minutes were read and approved for 1985. Presentations were then made by: (1) Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre - Juanita Douglass (2) Wichita County Heritage Society - Judith Proctor (3) Red River Lyric Theatre - Jan McDaniel (4) Wichita Falls Arts Association - Polly Cox (5) Wichita Falls Backdoor Players , Inc. - Gare Brundidge (6) Wichita Falls Area Fire & Police Museum - Dale Terry (7) Artists' Guild - Steve Grey (8) Midtown Fine Arts League, Inc. - Mike Brown (9) Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra - Dean Funston (10) Wichita Falls Museum & Art Center - Lita Watson Ptge 2 Arts Commission Minutes The Commission voted to fund all except the Artists ' Guild. Two other intities were discussed (Wichita Falls Museum & Art Center and the Wichita Falls Area Fire & Police Museum) , no official action was taken, The Artists' Guild was excluded. It was agreed that the Commission recommend to the Wichita Falls City Council that the following fundings be awarded: (1) Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre $7,500.00 (2) Wichita County Heritage Society 6,090.68 (3) Red River Lyric Theatre 5,921.69 (4) Wichita Falls Arts Association 3,645.49 (5) Wichita Falls Backdoor Players, Inc. 6,919.51 (6) Wichita Falls Area Fire & Police Museum 3,997.04 (7) Midtown Fine Arts League, Inc. 2,319.29 (8) Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra 7,007.37 (9) Wichita Falls Museum & Art Center 1,598.93 Total $45,000.00 The meeting concluded at 3:00 p.m. and was adjourned pending no further business.
