The next meeting will take place October 5, 1982, noon, Activities
Center, to consider and recommend to City Council the total dollar amounts to
award to each grant applicant.
Bob Arnold, Chairman of the Screening Committee, inquired as
to status of "after-action" follow-up evaluation reporting to the
Commission by recipients of grants. By general consent of the Commission,
Don Burkman will send letters of inquiry to those grant recipients who have
not returned a formal evaluation detailing final results of the projects.
These evaluations will be helpful to the Commission in its future considera-
tions of grant applications.
In response to the Secretary's inquiry, the Commission members
present confirmed their awareness of the new policies and procedures adopted
by the City Council on May 4, 1982 applicable to appointments to City boards,
commissions and advisory groups.
Preceding adjournment, Bob Arnold, Chairman of the Screening
Committee, thanked members Mary Honoure Wolverton and Don Maxwell for their
efforts in reviewing the applications. Chairman Murray expressed the Com-
mission's gratitude to Don Burkman and his staff for their efforts "in getting
all the communications to us."
