The Wichita Falls. Arts Commission held its monthly meeting on September 18, 1979
at 12:00 noon at Memorial Auditorium Conference Room 500. The following people
were in attendance:

Chairman Saundra Heffington called the meeting to order, and the minutes were
approved as printed and mailed. The commission heard a discussion of a grant
application from KIDZ-TV by Dick Sutton, and an application from Civic Chorus
by Helen Henry. Madge Muehlberger reported on the festivities of the Activities
Center opening. Dr. Jennie Louise Hindman gave a report from the screening
committee and moved that the commission accept the report. Bob Arnold seconded
the motion. The motion carried. Dr. Jennie L. Hindman moved that for the present,
the Arts Commission limit the amount it will recommend for any single application
to $7,500 or less. Helen Henry seconded and the motion carried. Jerry Estes made
the motion that the commission meet Tuesday, September 25th at 4 p.m. at the
Wichita Falls Museum and Art Center to vote on the pending applications. Polly
Cox seconded and the motion carried. The next Arts Commission meeting is tenta-
tively set for October 16th...hopefully at the Activities Center. The meeting was
adjourned.
