Arts Commission Minutes - 01/16/1979 MINUTES OF WICHITA FALLS ARTS COMMISSION January 16, 1979
The Wichita Falls Arts Commission held its monthly meeting on January 16th
at 12 Noon at the North Texas Savings and Loan Gallery. The following people
were in attendance:

The meeting was called to order by Saundra Heffington, Chairman. The
November minutes were approved as mailed. Detailed reports were given
on the December City Council meeting concerning the Arts Funding requests
and the meeting with Allan Longacre, Executive Director of Texas Commission
on the Arts and Humanities. Chairman Heffington appointed an Application
Screening Committee consisting of: Dr. Jennie Louise Hindman, chairman,
Helen Henry, and Johnny Hampton.
Johnny Hampton gave a report from the committee on the contract and evalu-
ation sheet project. Jerry Estes moved that we adopt the Agreement Concerning
Arts Grant, and Dr. Hindman seconded. It was unanimously approved. Dick
Gose made the motion that we adopt the Evaluation Report Form drawn up for
the Wichita Falls Arts Commission. Jerry Estes seconded and it was passed.
Chairman Heffington appointed Polly Cox as Historian of the Wichita Falls
Arts Commission. It was announced the next meeting would be on February 20th
at the North Texas Federal Savings and Loan Gallery at 12 Noon. The meeting
was then adjourned.
