Res 009-2024 Purchase Wheelchair Securements from Gillig, LLC 02/06/2024 Resolution No. 09-2024 Resolution authorizing the purchase of four (4) Quantum Automatic Wheelchair Securements from Gillig LLC for the Public Transportation Division in the amount of $58,773.32 WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to install more efficient and effective wheelchair securement systems on its buses; and, WHEREAS, these securement systems will provide for more comfortable and accessible experience for its wheelchair bound customers; and, WHEREAS the City Council finds that this purchase is exempt from the state requirements for competitive bidding pursuant to Texas Local Government § 252.022 (a)(7)(A), which exempts from competitive bidding purchases of "items that are available from only one source because of patents, copyrights, secret processes, or natural monopolies," and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that purchasing Quantum Automatic Wheelchair Securements is in the best interest of the City of Wichita Falls and its Public Transportation passengers.
