A quorum was present and the meeting was called to order at 4:27 pm.
Minutes from October 28, 2008 were accepted and approved
Librarian's report:
Ms. Daly reported that the vacant Librarian I position has now been filled. Graham Tedesco -Blair has literally just
arrived in Wichita Falls from Buffalo, NY and will officially start city employment December 1.
New business:
Board members discussed two library policies: Library Rules of Conduct, and Children in the Library. Library staff are
in the process of updating policies, and board members contributed several helpful suggestions to this end. There was
agreement that the rules of conduct policy does not necessarily need to be an exhaustive listing of dos and don'ts, but
needs to contain general situations with specific examples. Board members also agreed with the proposed changes to
the Children in the Library policy.
Next meeting:
Board members agreed that with the fourth Tuesday of December falling on the 23rd, it would be pertinent to defer the
date of the next meeting until January 27, 2009.
There being no further items for discussion, the meeting adjourned at 4:55pm
