city traffic division replacing Mr. John Burrus.
The financial report and minutes for February were approved as written.
The accident statistics were circulated for review. Sgt. Brad Hardin advised the
commission that the traffic unit would be working the top accident locations in the coming
month. Sgt. Hardin also advised the commission that there have been no major impacts in

City Traffic Report
Mr. Mark Beauchamp reported to the commission that the annual stripping project
will be done in April and May. The traffic signal at the intersection of Lawrence and
Gregory will also be completed soon. The department will also begin replacing lights
between McNeil and Kemp on Kell East in the near future.
State Traffic Report
Mr. Tim Hertel reported that the grand opening of the Kell Project will be
held on March 14th. The Seymour Highway project is still in progress as well as the Lake
Rd. project. Their department will also be doing some concrete repair on I44N in the near
future. Mr. Hertel also advised that they will be looking at the yield signs on the freeway as
well as the stripping on the Kell exit ramps.
Committee Reports
None.
Unfinished Business
Item 03 -03: Safe School Routes
Remain open for discussion at next meeting due to absence of committee
members.
Item 03 -04: Solicitors
Mrs. Elaine Bourgoin reported that after checking with the city's legal
department, the previous ordinance was repealed after it was determined that it was
unconstitutional. The vendors are not breaking any laws. The motorists that stop in the
flow of traffic are the actual violators. The police department is actually enforcing the law
when they ticket the people that are stopping traffic in these situations. After discussion,
the item was closed.
New Business
None.
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was
adjourned at 2:30 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
S Jody Wade
