Mr. Mark Beauchamp reported to the commission that there is now a new

for both the city and the state.

Mr. Davis Powell advised the commission that the work on Business 277 is
approximately 90% complete. FM 369 will be starting soon for milling and overlay.
They will also be working on the ADA ramps in that area. River Rd. bridge has

contracts for upgrade of the signs on Kell.

Item 03 -03: Safe School Routes
Mr. Ken Parker presented sets of maps for each school area for pedestrian
traffic. Copies will be provided to parents at each campus. The suggestion was also made
to include John Tower Elementary School in the maps. Mr. Parker advised that copies of

Item 03 -09: Safety Patrol Evaluations
Trooper Joe Clement reported that Patsy Walls with TXDOT will be
assisting him with the evaluations this year. Trooper Clement reported that the main
problem is lack of support from the teachers. There is a lack of training and commitment,
which filters down to the children participating in the program. Mr. Ken Parker advised
Joe to report any problems to him for handling. Mr. Parker will add an agenda item to the
School Board meeting to discuss incentives for the teachers. Mr. Parker invited Trooper
Clement to attend the meeting to explain the current problems with the program. Trooper
Clement accepted the invitation. Item to remain open.
Items of Discussion - none
