VISITORS
Chairman Tim Hertel called the November meeting of the Wichita Falls Traffic
Safety Commission to order at 1:35 p.m.
Brad Altman gave the invocation.
The minutes for the October meeting were approved as written.
The financial reports for October were approved.
Accident Statistics
Sgt. Mike Yonts reviewed the statistics for the prior month and quarter. Most of the
contributing factors were driver inattention, following too closely, disregarding traffic
control devices, and unprotected turns (or protected /permissive).
City Traffic Report
Mr. Mark Beauchamp reported to the commission that the department is beginning
work at the main gate entrance at Sheppard Air Force Base. The project is projected to be
completed by December. They are working on changing some striping on lane changes at
Kell & Fairway.
